The Blue Hills RCC is excited to announce that we were recently awarded a 2021 Community Transit Grant from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. This annual funding stream supports projects that expand mobility for older adults and people with disabilities.
This is the second consecutive year the BHRCC has received funding from MassDOT for our efforts. In 2020, the funds supported our community needs assessment and action plan. The new funding amount of $17,000 for 2021 will assist us in implementing the action plan in our pilot communities.
The CHNA 20 staff were also honored to represent the BHRCC as panelists on a January 26 webinar hosted by MassDOT and MassMobility that provided more information about this grant program. MassDOT anticipates opening applications for the next round of funding in Spring 2021.
